LOOK CLOSER. FOLLOW YOUR CURIOSITY.

More than a wall of pictures.

Move through rooms, approach displays and open an item to examine its archived photographs and catalog information. The museum organizes records by category, manufacturer, country and group. Familiar characters can lead you from action figures into everyday objects you may never have thought to collect.

The Gallery is built from a growing reference database. Its displays include documented items with and without photographs, and different records can describe variations of a similar object. Photographed collectibles appear on museum fixtures; this is a walkable 3D environment, not a claim that every object is a fully reconstructed 3D model.

How do I move around?
On a desktop, use the arrow keys to walk and turn. Hold Shift with an arrow to step sideways or change viewing height. M opens the map; T replays the tutorial. On phones and tablets, use the on-screen movement controls and drag to look around.
Can I find a particular collectible?
Explore lists the catalog categories. Search accepts Include and Exclude terms, which can match recorded information such as character, manufacturer or country. Displays lets you walk to a group or arrive there directly.
What if my device cannot show the 3D museum?
The readable exhibit list lets you browse items and available photographs. These exhibition guides also work without JavaScript or WebGL.
Whose collection am I viewing?
The main museum shows the Database collection. Collectors can also choose to share their own collections publicly. If you enter a collector’s Gallery, Explore and Search apply to that collection; use Collectors and choose “The complete Database collection” to return.

THE PEOPLE AND WORK BEHIND THE MUSEUM
